Glimmer of hope for oilfield contractors
“I have been lied to and misled for the last time.”
At least that was what Dave Redgate planned to tell contractors at the second half of the Northern Oilfield Contractors Association’s annual general meeting Monday. He was going to blame ‘an air of indifference and cowardice,’ and tell contractors that a government official had failed to deliver on his promise to update the Association on the government’s progress in dealing with its concerns.
Woman blames RCMP for 'misleading' report
Police reports that said a Wabasca stabbing victim’s life wasn’t threatened by the Sept. 20 incident were ‘very misleading’, says the 18-year-old’s sister. In fact, hours after the teen was released from hospital, arrested and lodged in RCMP cells, he was on life support being medivaced to an Edmonton hospital.

The Slave Lake Wolves are back in action for another season of Junior hockey in Slave Lake. On the weekend they played two games against Sexsmith in the back arena.

Wolves split games vs. Sexsmith
The Slave Lake Wolves have done a lot of winning on Saturday night and then losing on Sunday afternoon. This past weekend they did the reversse, dropping a 5 – 1 decision to the Sexsmith Vipers Saturday and then turning it around for a 5 – 2 win on Sunday.
