Time’s up! Slave Lake restaurant owners have had enough time to adjust their facilities to conform with the Town’s new smoking bylaw, councillors decided last week.

Wolves win Saturday, lose Sunday
The Slave Lake Wolves picked up their second win of the season on Saturday. Up against the league champion Fort St. John Huskies, the Wolves battled to a 3 – 2 victory, despite being outshot in the game.

Slave Lake lumberjill hot at nationals

Danielle Tkach of Slave Lake recently competed for western Canada at the national logger sports championships in Parry Sound, Ontario. She helped her team beat the beasts from the east with excellent performances in chopping and sawing contests – including one in a tie-break for all the marbles.
