Brian Jean wants to be the Conservative Party candidate for the Athabsaca constituence in the next federal election. On Mar. 9 party members from Slave Lake, High Prairie and surrounding areas will let him know if they feel the same way.
Judge rules Wiyamaipeg must stand trial for murder
Julianna Wiyamaipeg will stand trial for the murder of Roy David Cardinal last April. Provincial Court Judge Thomas Goodson made the decision after hearing details of the case at a preliminary hearing in Slave Lake Feb. 25.
