Hoping for a great season at Gilwood
It’s a sure sign of spring when the driving range opens at Gilwood Golf and Country Club. Never mind that the lefties were hitting their drives into a foot or two of snow on the shady lower left end of the range. Or that large parts of the course were still under the white stuff early last week.

Walking trails not safe, woman tells council
Slave Lake’s walking trails are unsafe, thanks to quads, dirtbikes, loose dogs and young ruffians. That’s the message one resident brought to Slave Lake Town council last week, urging them to do something about it.
