The Widewater Eagles continued their strong play early in the Southshore Men’s League season last week with a 14 – 2 victory over the Wabasca Indians. Scott Sinclair provided all the pitching they needed and the Eagles’ bats took care of the rest.
They lead the league with five points on two wins and a tie after three games.
On June 1, the Boss Pressure Red Sox won the lowest scoring game of the season so far, beating the Kinuso Brewers 2 – 1. Trevor Vance was the winning pitcher and Steve Gladue threw for the Brewers.
The Brewers looked pretty good again on Wednesday, but again couldn’t solve the opposition hurler. This time it was Bradley Sinclair throwing for the Cardinals, who won their second of the season, 5 – 2.
Also on June 2, the Colts beat the Kinuso Kodiaks 13 – 1.
This week’s games have Boss Pressure vs. Wabasca and the Brewers vs. the Kodiaks on Wednesday, and on Thursday the Kodiaks take on Boss Pressure, the Colts play the Eagles and the Cardinals tangle with the Brewers.
