Sports Highlights

The First Nations Guiding Eagle Victim Services Society was the big winner when the Lesser Slave Lake Indian Regional Council hosted its 13th annual golf tournament at the Gilwood Golf Club. The society netted around $2,000 when 72 golfers played 18 holes. Winners included Ray Yellowknee, Marcel Auger, Cannon Cunningham and Jesse Gauchier. George Wright was the longest drive winner.

Sharks capture fourth spot in High Prairie meet
Members of the Slave Lake Sharks swim club tested their mettle at a meet in High Prairie Saturday, with several aggregate winners and just as many beating their own personal best times.
