Kodiaks 'hold the rope' - win gold
‘Holding the rope’ for each other became a motivational mantra for the Slave Lake Kodiaks when they won their league championship two years ago. At the provincials in Black Diamond this past weekend it came into play again.

Slave Lake mixed team wins provincial curling championship
Scott Tradewell’s mixed team did it the hard way again. Losers of two of their three round-robin games, they backed into a semi-final berth at the provincial high school curling championships in Bawlf on the Mar. 5 weekend, just like they did at the zones a week earlier. Then they won it all.
