Illegal dumping getting ridiculous
Somebody has been dumping garbage in a grassy field off of the road that leads up to Flat Top Tower. The field is used as a parking area for a nearby dirt bike track, but it lies vacant through the winter.

Development moves ahead
The Town of Slave Lake planning department cleared the way for the construction of three more commercial buildings in the development across Hwy. 2 in recent days. These are in addition to the Canadian Tire and Wal-Mart buildings already approved.

Sports Highlights

The Senior baseball season started last Wednesday with four games in the Southshore League, including this one between the Boss Pressure Red Sox (batting) and the Colts. Hitting for the Sox is Craig Dombrosky. Pitching is Bryan McEvoy. The Colts won 6 - 5.

Men's league off to cracking good start
Early results from the Southshore Men’s League show that there should be some good competition for top spot in the five-team league this year.

Kinuso hot in track and field
Little Kinuso School came up big at the track and field zone meet in Grande Prairie on May 27 and 28. All 10 senior high competitors qualified for the provincial championships in Edmonton this weekend.
