What to do about quads in town
The issue of quad traffic in and around Slave Lake has reared its ugly head again.
Faster trains on the way
The construction bug has bitten Slave Lake. Figures presented to Town council last week show a big jump in activity in three of the four major categories of buildings over 2004.

Indians break Colts for second win of season
Last week’s Southshore Men’s Baseball League schedule was an abbreviated one, with two games played on Monday night and one Wednesday. A couple of teams apparently didn’t want to overuse pitchers they’d need again for Friday night’s Widewater Sports Days start.
Storm grab a share of first place
Improved play in the third week of the season earned the Slave Lake Storm two wins and a share of the league lead. At the start of week four, the Storm had four wins and one loss - just the same as the Faust Silver Bullets.
