Judy Harlton, left, of Widewater, celebrates her bronze medal in World Masters Games mountain biking last week. Judy finished behind Dorothy Wong of the U.S.A and Sarah Robbins of Canada. Her time was 1:25:16, just six seconds ahead of the fourth place finisher. Harlton finished seventh in the time trial race.

Exact Cardinals win four of first five games at World Masters
Slave Lake’s entry in the World Masters Games 45 and over baseball tournament did much, much better than anyone expected. Winners of their first three games, the Exact Cardinals stood at 3 and 1 on Thursday morning, heading into a second-round game against The Downunders from Sydney, Australia.
Storm win first round playoff
One team down, one to go for the Slave Lake Storm. The ladies’ fastball team swept High Prairie three games to none in their semi-final playoff series in the High Prairie Ladies’ Fastball League last week, setting up a berth in the championship series.
