Boss Pressure Red Sox win baseball title
Make it three Southshore Men’s Baseball League championships in a row for the Boss Pressure Red Sox. The Sox, riding the arm of Brent Blachford, defeated the Slave Lake Cardinals 4 – 1 in last Wednesday’s final game.

Ten Slave Lake swimmers vie for provincial medals
Ten swimmers from the Slave Lake Sharks advanced to the provincial meet in Edmonton on the weekend after strong showings at the regional meet in Slave Lake Aug. 5-7.
