Playing at home on Saturday, the Jr. ‘Hawks had little trouble with the Barrhead 2 team, although the first period was fairly close.

In the second the Jr. ‘Hawks took command. First it was Clinton Miller scoring, unassisted. Then Matthew Girard with his second, assisted by Eric Girard. Morton made it 5 – 1, unassisted, with 1:40 left.
In the third, Eric Girard and Thiessen set up Morton for Slave Lake’s sixth goal. Then Matthew Girard scored, assisted by Eric Girard and Eric Pawluski. Aaron Deas finished off the scoring, from Matthew Girard.
Jorgen Drewniak was the winning goalie.
Scoring results for Sunday’s tie game were unavailable by press time.
The Jr. ‘Hawks now move on to the final series against Barrhead’s other Pee Wee ‘B’ team. That two-game, total-goal series starts this weekend in Slave Lake.
