Andy Yellowknee (right front) had a comfortable lead over the field in the running portion of a fun triathlon at Roland Michener Jr. High School recently - until Mr. Clark the gym teacher decided to put some pressure on him. The event included wagon pulling, roller blading and biking - which made it more like a quadrathlon than a triathlon.

Condo development will be 48 units
Contrary to earlier reports, a housing development in Slave Lake’s southwest proposes no more than 98 units, not the 300 discussed at a Town council meeting a few weeks ago.
M.D. council pulls plug on Permit Pro
The company with the exclusive right to do building code inspections in the M.D. of Lesser Slave River defended its new fees before M.D. Council on June 28. Alberta Permit Pro owner Rick Kerscher made a somewhat rambling presentation that boiled down to was this: the new 50 cents per kilometer fee for inspections is necessary to cover the rising cost of doing business, and no, it’s not negotiable.
