Green light for municipal-provincial building
With a major obstacle now cleared, the Town of Slave Lake will get on with its new municipal-provincial building at the Sawridge Mall site. If all goes well, construction on the $20 million project could start as early as the spring of 2007.

Former Slave Lake resident Lyndsay Baird is making the rounds of hockey programs in Calgary. She’s gone full circle (or maybe full oval) from the Olympic Oval development program, to playing for the Southern Alberta Institute of Technology, to playing for Mount Royal College, and was set to try out for the University of Calgary team.
