Mayor, Reeve pleased with new premier-elect
In his acceptance speech after he won the top spot in Alberta’s conservative government, Ed Stelmach thanked his brother for looking after his cattle while he was campaigning. He also spent most of the previous night fixing his own furnace. In the wake of the 2006 Tory leadership race, many feel it was Stelmach’s strong connection with the everyday Albertans that secured him the win.
