Other people might have caught bigger ones, but two-year-old Roxy Sanford was pretty pleased with her bait minnow at the fourth annual ‘Party With Your Toques On’ ice fishing tournament on Saturday. Eighty ice anglers took part in the tournament, competing for the $2,500 top prize as well as other prizes.

Bantam Sabres make it to semi-finals at ‘AA’ provincials
Slave Lake’s Bantam Sabres made to to the semis at the ‘AA’ provincials on the weekend. That would be a good result at any provincial championship and is more so because it’s the first time a Slave Lake team has competed at the ‘AA’ level.
