A delegation of Marten Beach residents showed up at the M.D. of Lesser Slave River’s regular meeting last week. They were there to complain that what was supposed to be a M.D. drainage plan is making a mountain out of a molehill.

The Heat win! Slave Lake team are Bantam provincial baseball champions
The Slave Lake Heat took the top spot in last weekend’s Tier 4 Bantam provincial baseball tournament. With 11 games in the round robin, Slave Lake played twice on Friday, beating Westlock and the Sherwood Park #2. The Heat played the Strathmore Reds on Saturday and beat them 12-11.
Sharks break personal, club records at High Prairie meet
Swimmers in the Slave Lake Sharks swim club are breaking personal as well as club records as they begin the hunt for medals at provincial competitions in August.
