Rabbit food
The greens growing in Shirley Hill’s 3rd St. S.W. driveway were a tasty snack for this rabbit, which just happened to be there when The Leader came around to photograph Shirley’s flowers last Thursday. We’re not sure if the rabbit was there when the judge in the community beautification challenge came by a few days earlier. But they were sufficiently impressed by the flowers (most of which do not appear in this photo) that they gave second place honours to the residence in the ‘small residential’ category.

A motocross rider goes over a jump at the Flat Top track last week during a three-day clinic put on by Drew Clegg, one of the top competitors in the province. The six local kids who took the course will be in good shape for the Flat Top club’s motocross meet, which takes place on the Labour Day weekend.
