Speed limit through town to drop to 60
Drivers get ready: the speed limit on Hwy.2 through Slave Lake will drop from 80 to 60 kilometres per hour sometime fairly soon.

The new water slide at the Northern Lights Aquatic Centre is finally in working order, after electrical problems delayed installation for a few weeks. Kelsi Ching was one of the first to try out the new slide when her Roland Michener Grade 10 PhysEd class visited the pool.

Wolves win one, lose one to Blades
Wolves' coach Scott Sinclair knew his team was facing a much-improved Beaverlodge Blades this past weekend. The Blades were still last in the league, but in their past four games had won two and lost the other two by a single goal. They were going to be tough to be beat, he told The Leader.
Legal, Edson too much for Winterhawks
