Slave Lake, Alberta

The Page

Brace yourselves, Slave Lakers. You’re going to be seeing a lot of otherwise respectable people going around town with pink hair, or else no hair at all.
‘Brave the Shave’ is what they’re calling a breast cancer fundraiser at Roland Michener School. Participants can either sign up to have their head shaved, or if they don’t want to take it all off, they can dye it pink. Those who ‘brave the shave’ must raise at least $100 and the pinks must raise at least $50, according to info received from the school. Mrs. Lester and Mr. Denoncourt are the ringleaders of the gang putting on this event, so if you want more information call them at 849-3064.
