This could have been a regular news item, but we really needed a photo.
Lacking that, it works well enough here on Page 9.
It seems Sara Jones, ex of Slave Lake, is aiming to be named the ‘Sexiest Vegetarian Next Door’ in a contest put on by the group People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA).
Sara works in real estate in Edmonton these days, and attracted the attention of the Edmonton Sun, which ran a story and a couple of pics of her on Page 2 of its Feb. 5 issue.
She’s been a vegetarian for some time, and likes the idea of becoming a spokesperson for animals. The big news is that she made the cut and is into the final 16 out of 1,000 entrants in the contest. Contestants win or lose by the votes of visitors to the website GoVeg.com.
