Midget girls win their league
The season for the Slave Lake Midget Girls Thunder came down to one weekend tournament. The four teams of their new league all came in to town to settle the question of which the top team was, and when the ice chips settled, it was the Thunder.
Bantam 'AA' advance to league final
Tied 5-5 with Morinville after one game, it was do or die for the Slave Lake Bantam 'AA' Thunder. So they did what they had to do, beating Morinville 5-2 in the own barn to move on in the Sturgeon Pembina League playoffs.
