Pearl Calahasen cruises to sixth term
Liberal challenger Steve Noskey had some definite pockets of support, but it was far too little to derail the Pearl Calahasen juggernaut. Calahasen won her sixth straight victory in the Lesser Slave Lake riding in the Mar. 3 election, joining 71 of her colleagues in a Progressive Conservative landslide across the province.

Slave Lake’s Bantam ‘AA’ Thunder got off on the right foot in their league final series against Barrhead on Sunday. They took a 1 – 0 series lead with a 2 – 1 victory, and will try to finish off the job this Wednesday night in Barrhead.
Pee Wees one game up on Edson
The Pee Wee ‘A’ Thunder hit the road on the weekend to begin their league championship series against Edson. Like their Bantam counterparts, they were victorious, winning by one goal to take a 1 – 0 series lead.
