Something called ‘automated traffic enforcement technology’ may be coming to Slave Lake. Town council listened to a pitch last week by a company that provides ‘photo laser’ service – which is along the lines of photo radar, but better, they said.

Mark Sept. 6 on your calendars, demolition derby fans. That’s the square on the calendar that organizers of the Widewater Demolition Derby have designated for the revived version of that event.
Dirt bikers converge on Slave Lake
Slave Lake played host to one of the biggest moto-cross events it’s seen on June 7 and 8. There were 450 entries in Round 1 of the Alberta Provincial Moto-cross Series at the Flat Top track south of town.
