Andrew Mike Adamkewicz of Slave Lake passed away at the age of 40 on Nov. 23, 2009. He leaves to mourn his wife Trish of 14 years, daughter Shanika-Marie, age 11 and son Kaylen, age 8. Andrew was pre-deceased by his father Mike and survived by his mother Betty, brothers Richard (Randi, Isaiah, Tessa) and Wesley (Isabelle).
Here’s some of what son Kaylen wrote about his dad: “It was a sad moment when dad died on Tuesday night, 2009. Momstarted crying ever since. My dad was my fishing buddy. “P.S. We hope dad’s having fun.”
And from his brother Wesley: “He probably has ten projects on the go. This is for certain from what we know. Now we know that he’ll be okay. My dad will probably have his tools close to where Andy will stay.”
Andrew was born in Edmonton, but moved with his family to Slave Lake at the age of six months. He grew up and went to school there.
