Born: ![]() In the early hours of the morning of May 17, Edith Andersson passed away peacefully after a brief battle with brain cancer. She was 74 when she died. She will be greatly missed by her children, Lois and Doug Poitras of Burnaby, David and Shiho Andersson of Vancouver, Rolf Andersson (and Rosie) of Edmonton, Linnea and Mark Deutscher of Lacombe, and Paul and Catherine Andersson of Balzac; her grandchildren Regan, Lisa-Marie, Samantha, Mallory and Nicholas, Tricia and Greg, Erika Marie and Carl Lucas, Anika, Kayleigh Marie, (Drew), Sarin, Max, Bo, Hans, Jacob, Isabel, and Lydia, and Yoo Jin Mathias. She has one great-grandchild Elyse Marie. She also leaves her sisters and brothers: Hazel and George Gillanders of Kelowna, Ona and Tom Hawley of Nipawin, Eva Woolsey of Melfort, Albert Degerness of Nipawin, and Lyle and Laila Degerness of Sudbury. There are many nieces and nephews. Edith's life will be celebrated and honored by family and friends at 2:00 p.m. on June 3, 2007, at Wilson's Funeral Chapel, 6120 Highway 2A, Lacombe, Alberta. In lieu of flowers please go visit someone sick or lonely, golf a round with friends, have a game of bridge, walk your dog, play some beautiful music or dig in your garden. Memorial donations can be made to the Canadian Diabetes Association 1400 - 522 University Avenue, Toronto, ON M5G 2R5.
