Born: ![]() In the wee hours of the morning, Jan. 14, 2009 the Lord gently lifted Colleen into his arms to take her on her final journey home. After 15 months of illness and hospitalizations, Colleen’s spirit was free to soar once again. Colleen will forever be loved and missed by her daughters Bonnie Evans (Jim), Nancy Skrynyk (Mike), granddaughters Candace (Justin), Tegan (Martin), Karissa, and Kyla (Colin), and great-granddaughter Ava Marie. A celebration of Colleen’s life was held Jan. 17, 2009 in Slave Lake, with her ashes to be spread, according to her wishes, in Southern Alberta. Colleen’s family would like to thank all those who so generously gave their thoughts, prayers, gifts of food, flowers, hospital visits, and overwhelming support, both to Colleen and her family. A special thank you goes out to all the staff of the Slave Lake Health Care Complex, Vanderwell Heritage Lodge, and the Homecare staff, for the wonderful care given to Colleen. If so wished, donations may be made to the Slave Lake Hospital Auxiliary Memorial Fund in Colleen’s name. | |||||||||||||||||||
