Born: January 6, 1911  Cora Green passed away at MSA Manor in Abbotsford, BC on January 11, 2005, aged 94 years. Cora was born on the 6th of January 1911 in southern Saskatchewan to Edward and Cora Friedrick. At the age of 19 she left the family farm and went to northern Alberta to work in the samll store and post office for Ross (Bob) Green. They were married on 9 November 1932 and resided in Widewater AB. After Bob's death in 1965, Cora moved to Abbotsford in 1966. She is survived by her three children, Barb Tarney of Brooks AB, Donna (Bill) Baergen of Stettler AB, and Craig (Lydia) Green of Abbotsford, eight grandchildren: Doug, Dan and Lona Tarney, Patricia, Grant and James Baergen, Corice (Patrick) Peters, Darrell Green and six great grandchildren: Mikaele, Audrey, Alex, Anne, Ciara and Bjorn. She is also survived by her sisters, Bertha Rensfelt, Evelyn Smith, Fern MacPherson, her brother Jack (Myrna) Friedrick of Bradner and many nieces and nephews. A memorial service was held on Friday, 14th January with Rev. Doug Irenland. | |||||||||||||||||||
