Munkholm, Norma

Norma Munkholm passed away at Slave Lake hospital on Nov. 17, 2007.
Norma came to Canyon Creek in 1936 as a child, with her family. On December 27, 1948 she married Leo Munkholm. They raised three children: Grant, Laurie and Lynn.
In the early years they peddled milk, farmed mink and farmed before moving to Widewater in 1966, where Norma was postmistress until she retired in 1989. She moved to Slave Lake in 1997 after Leo passed away.
Left to survive Norma are son Grant (Val) of New Sarepta, daughter Lynn (Bill) of Widewater, grandchildren Ron (Donna) of Calgary, Jaline Corky and Leo and great grandsons Justin, Max and Austin. Also her sister Gladys and numerous nieces and nephews.
Norma was predeceased by daughter Laurie in 1974 and husband Leo in 1996 and by brothers Vernie, Gerry and Gillis.
