Screpnek, Michael Lee

Born: May 13, 1986
Passed: January 14, 2011

On January 14, 2011 Big Mike tragically passed away in a single vehicle rollover west of High Prairie.
Mike was born May 13, 1986, in High Prairie, Alberta where he lived most of his life. He worked as a tradesman and aspired to be a Carpenter. He loved hanging out with his friends, and all recreational sports and outdoor activities, particularly fishing and hunting. Mike especially loved his truck and could be heard all over town cruising in it. He was larger than life and made everyone around him feel good. We could always count on Mike for the best one-liners and funniest jokes. He looked out for everyone, and is now guarding us from above. Mike, you will be in our hearts forever!
Mike is survived by his Mother and Father, Tammy Calvert and Brian Screpnek; Grandparents, Cliff and Dorothy Calvert; Grandfather, Thomas Screpnek; Sisters, Necole Screpnek and Spouse Dennis McNabb, Jessica Brisson and Husband Ivan, and Katelyn Screpnek; Nephews, Connor and Gage McNabb, Niece, Sophie Brisson, and many Aunts, Uncles, Cousins, and Friends.
A Memorial Service was held on Saturday, January 22, 2011 at 2:00 p.m. at the Elks Hall Downtown in High Prairie. The family would like to express their sincere appreciation to everyone who offered their love, help, and support during this difficult time.
