Our Mother and Friend have gone to join God's glorious kingdom. She went to be with our Lord on February 03, 2005 at the Slave Lake Health Complex. She was born in St. Albert and lived in Lac La Biche, Whitecourt and then moved to Slave Lake for her remaining life.
Catherine is survived by three daughters, Betty (Bob) Tees of Wetaskawin, Linda (Gordon) McCauley of Slave Lake, Judy (Art) Malone of Smith, AB., one son Redmond (Skinner) Gairdner of Slave Lake, son-in-law Bernie Cameron of Slave Lake, Harold Gairdner (Terry) of Edmonton (grandson whom she raised.) 13 grandchildren, 22 great grandchildren and three great, great grandchildren. Two sisters, Mathilda (Tillie) Bradford of Leduc, Bertha Belcourt of Gunn, sister-in-law Lena L'Hirondelle of St. Albert, Mildred Gairdner of Kimberly BC. Predeceased by husband George, daughter Violet Cameron, grandsons Danny Tees, Weldon Cameron. Sisters Marriane and Rose. Brothers Vic, Alex, Fred, Gus, Joe and Peter.
Catherine loved the celebrations with her family and friends which meant music and dancing. But her faith in God is what made this wonderful woman. She will be missed by many.
Services were held at the St. Peter Celestin-Catholic Church on Monday, February 07, interment at the Slave Lake Cemetery.
Donations may be made towards a Palliative Care Unit at the Long Term Care Facility in Slave Lake..
