A swing and a splash

Hudson Williams (5) takes a swing at a water balloon on July 8 in Schurter Park. The Slave Lake Library held Water Balloon Baseball that day. Kids read picture books and as a reward they got to swing at five water balloons. This was part of the library’s summer reading program.
Smith Library held a similar event on July 14 with water balloon baseball, a pinata, and snacks.
During the summer on Tuesdays from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., the Slave Lake Library book bike will be in Schurter Park.
