Town is okay with it
Town of Slave Lake Mayor Tyler Warman has been getting questions about whether Hallowe’en is going to be allowed this year.
“I don’t think we have the authority,” to ban such a thing, he said, at the Oct. 7 town council meeting. Even if the town wanted to do that, which it doesn’t. Warman went on to speculate that Hallowe’en ought to be safe with social distancing. He said it could be a low-risk activity. Maybe if there’s a group of kids at a door, for example, you or your group could just hang back until they’ve finished before approaching that door.
“I think we’ll be okay,” he said.
