Art breaks out at St. Mary of the Lake!

St. Mary of the Lake School in Slave Lake held an event on June 5 with all sorts of artistic stuff on display. Most of it was produced or performed by students, but it included local artist/craftspeople displaying their creations. Pop, Paint & Performance Night included dozens (maybe even hundreds) of pieces of art by students displayed in the atrium and hallways, a giant Andy Warhol-type soup can sculpture (to help the food bank), a ‘Collaborate Canvas’ and four stage performances.

This is one of the Grade 3 book-based theme park projects displayed in the library.

The ABC Fashion Show Rap, or ‘Alphabet Hip Hop’ was the opening act at St. Mary of the Lake’s arts night on June 5. It was performed by Kindergarten to Grade 2 students.
