On May 14, Alberta Parks, the Municipal District of Lesser Slave River, and the Town of Slave Lake did their annual Devonshire Beach cleanup and not a moment too soon, just before May long weekend. There were workers cleaning up manually, and heavy equipment was used to get the bigger pieces of driftwood. The job is the result of an agreement between the three parties to make Devonshire Beach (part of it) look nice for the start of the tourist season.
