Burglars drill through roof for access

Two break-ins of businesses in Slave Lake late last month may or may not be related. Police aren’t sure, but they have identified a couple of ‘vehicles of interest,’ which might lead somewhere.
On the night of Jan. 26 or early morning of Jan. 27, someone broke into Appara Shoes by forcing the back door. On the same night, someone gained access to Fas Gas “by boring a hole through the roof,” says a news release from Slave Lake RCMP Staff Sgt. John Spaans. “Once inside, suspects stole money from an ATM machine.”
From Appara Shoes, the thief or thieves took shoes and clothing; they also vandalized the premises.
