The Town of Slave Lake is holding a by-election for one councillor, as Councillor Julie Brandle stepped down a few months ago.
Voting is in the Town of Slave Lake council chambers, 10 Main Street, Slave Lake.
There are two advanced voting dates – Saturday, November 18 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. and Thursday, November 23 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. The election day is November 28 from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m.
Three candidates are running for the one spot. Candidates (in alphabetical order) are Andrew Achoba, Craig Hudson, and Ronnie Lukan. See candidate profiles on Page 10 of the November 15 Lakeside Leader.
Voters must be Canadian citizens who are 18 years and older who live in Slave Lake. Voters must provide a government issued piece of photo identification with a physical address or government photo ID with proof of physical address, including utility bills.
