Budget friendly fashion will be making its way to Slave Lake in the next couple of weeks with the grand opening of Jax N Monica’s Boutique.

Owne rNiki Bohme said the store will be a mix of new and used items for men, women, and children.

The boutique will also carry other items such as accessories, body jewelry, bath bombs, and bedding.

Bohme said the store will have a very thrifty vibe to it, explaining that the store will not only be selling new and used items but customers will be able to bring in gently used brand name clothing for cash or store credit.

“I think this [the boutique] will eliminate the need for Facebook buy and sell pages and groups,” said Bohme.

Items at Jax N Monica’s will be one of a kind, Bohme said.

She said she will be carrying limited stock so customers will not all be wearing the same outfits adding how most items will cost no more than $60.

“The name of the store is very special to me and took a long time to think of,” said Bohme.

The boutique’s name is a combination of her three children’s names Jaxson, Morgan, and Danica.

Bohme explained how she is a single mother and thought it might be difficult to run the store but she said she has received a lot of support from family and friends.

Bohme said her kids will also be part of the store helping out where they can.

Being a stay at home mom had made it hard for Bohme to spend time with her kids and have an income.

She said sometimes people have a hard time balancing time so having her kids involved will give them more time together.

The grand opening of Jax N Monica’s Boutique will be on March 20. The store will be located at 105 6th Avenue Southeast, across the street from Burgers Plus.
