Fraud sentence of 30 days equalled time served

At trial, Dakota Richard Auger changed his plea to guilty of fraud under $5,000. Four other charges were withdrawn.
Auger was sentenced to 30 days and given credit for 30 days pretrial custody, so the sentence equalled time served. He also received a $200 victim fine surcharge.

Randal David Beaver was in Edmonton Remand Centre. He did not appear, but his lawyer entered guilty pleas to 10 charges. The majority were within the jurisdiction of the Slave Lake court, but one was also brought in from Wabasca.
The details were not read in. A Gladue Report and Agreed Statement of Facts were ordered. Sentencing will be May 12, 2021.
Beaver pled guilty to the following charges listed in chronological order. The first was from July 6, 2020. It was for theft of a motor vehicle.
The next happened in Wabasca. It was possession of property obtained by crime with a value of over $5,000.
The next two crimes were from the same offence. These were break and enter and assault causing bodily harm.
Beaver pled guilty to mischief and threats to cause death or bodily harm. The offence date was July 25.
Three other charges were from the same offence. These were assault with a weapon, failure to comply with release conditions, and possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose.
The final charge was failure to comply with release conditions.
