Judge G.W. Paul
Austin Cole Haynes appeared in court via closed circuit television from Peace River Correctional Centre and pled guilty to one count of breaking and entering into a non-dwelling home.
Provincial Crown Attorney Jordan Lenett dropped three other charges against him as a result of Haynes’s guilty plea.
According to Lenett, Haynes along with a female counterpart broke into a camper along side the Old Smith Hwy and stole a BB gun and caused minor damages.
In an odd-turn of events, Lenett said Haynes actually texted and video-called the camper’s owners to show the damage done and to apologize.
Judge Paul released Haynes after crediting him for time served and ordered him to pay for $320 worth of damages caused to the camper.
