Jan. 10, 2018
Judge D. R. Shynkar
Kensie Nichols has been convicted of driving without insurance.
Nichols plead guilty to the charge. Judge Shynkar told Nichols there would be a minimum penalty imposed. Shynkar sentenced Nichols to a fine of approximately $2,500.
Nichols was also facing charges of driving an unregistered vehicle as well as failing to hold a valid license. Shynkar asked the crown if those two charges could be removed. The crown said they were willing to drop two charges.
Nichols asked for time to pay as he has a family to support. Shynkar gave him until July 31 to pay the fine. The judge explained that payments can be made at any courthouse.
