Day of Friendship

Walk of Friendship from Town of Slave Lake office to the Slave Lake Friendship Centre. The event included a walk, drive-thru BBQ and powwow presentation by various dancers.
The Slave Lake Native Friendship Centre helps both Indigenous and non-Indigenous people. It has a seniors worker, a youth centre (currently closed), the food bank, secondhand store, Indigenous art store, etc.
Gracie Giroux (2) of Swan River First Nation was the youngest jingle dancer at the Day of Friendship.
