Gilwood Golf & Country Club has been scrambling to come up with money for needed upgrades and repairs lately. A grant from the provincial government doesn’t solve all those problems, but having enough cash to re-do the clubhouse roof will be a big load off the shoulders of the board. On Friday (June 2) Lesser Slave Lake MLA Danielle Larivee presented a CIP (Community Initiatives Program) cheque for $23,498 to Gilwood executive members Connie Schultz and Joyce Robinson. The money comes from Alberta Culture and Tourism.
