Guitar ‘god’ Joey Landreth performs at Legacy Centre

Joey Landreth is nothing short of incredible on guitar. He’s a rocker, a song-writer and has a great voice. Called a “hot-to-trot” guitar god by the Toronto Star, his unique blend of electric bluesy rock is not to be missed. His performance includes soft-hearted ballads with moving lyrics, scorching slide-guitar, rocking tunes, and a little country.

Joey got his start as frontman for JUNO winning Canadian roots rockers The Bros Landreth from Winnipeg. Bonnie Raitt says, “I haven’t liked a band as much as the Bros Landreth in a long time. …they blew me away. Great singing and playing and killer slide guitar and the band seriously kicks.” This highly acclaimed band played the North Country Fair a couple years ago.

The bros took a break so brother Dave could spend time with his family, giving Joey and his trio the opportunity to stretch out. They have toured extensively with rave reviews in Canada, the U.S. and the U.K. with the album Whiskey.

Opening for Joey is our own Will O’Donnell and friends.
