What’s missing from this scene? According to the Town of Slave Lake, it’s something called a ‘catch basin barrel,’ which is part of the storm sewer system. In this case, the one needing to be replaced was right under the grate at the corner of Main St. and 3rd Ave. NE. The work had to be done before the re-hab job on the sidewalk, which is scheduled for sometime this year. Thanks to Brian Bellerive of B.
