Kinuso School goes Green with new principal

Linda Green has been appointed principal of Kinuso School, states a new release from High Prairie School Division.

She has been a district principal with HPSD since 2016 and was the principal of Roland Michener Secondary School in Slave Lake from 2012-2016.

Outgoing principal Golda David will be working with the newly developed virtual school program Academy of Personalized Learning that HPSD will launch in the fall.

“Linda, we look forward to the skill and experience you will bring to Kinuso School,” says Tammy Henkel, who chairs the board.

Green has more than 18 years of teaching experience inclusive of more than eight years as vice-principal at both E.G. Wahlstrom and Roland Michener Secondary School in Slave Lake.

She also served as a co-administrator and special education co-ordinator with the Driftpile Community School.

Green has her Bachelor of Education from the University of Alberta and her Master of Arts, Leadership and Training from Royal Roads University.

Vice-principal Christopher Gardner will become a learning support teacher at Roland Michener Secondary School in Slave Lake.

Linda Green is the new principal at Kinuso School.
