Lake Life Expo

The Slave Lake & District Chamber of Commerce held its first spring trade show in several years on May 5 and 6, at the Multi Rec Centre in Slave Lake. It had a good number of vendors, but visitor numbers were not as good as hoped. One reason was probably that wildfires and evacuations were happening all over the region at the same time.

The M.D. of Lesser Slave River had a trade show presence, with reeve Murray Kerik, left, and CAO Barry Kolenosky.
Ruth Penner of Ruthie Jo’s of Kinuso had her restored dolls on display and for sale at the Lake Life Expo.
Ty Stokell and Mike Plemel of Edmonton’s Ocean Sports had all the latest products and information about kayaking and related sports.
Wilf Atkins of Atkins Coins & Collectibles at the trade show. Aktins says he buys and sells coins and bills, but would like to do a bit more selling!
Lots of nice teeth were on display at the Slave Lake Dental booth; (l. to. r.) Dr. Lim, Sutton and Brooke.
