The region has one less drug trafficker in business, after a bust by Lakeshore Regional Police on Oct. 10. According to a release from that agency, a search of a residence in Driftpile resulted in the seizure of drug-related items, plus the arrest of one person.
What police found in the home included methamphetamine, cash (presumably assumed to be the proceeds of crime), “drug-trafficking paraphernalia, scales, cell phones and weapons.”
One female has been arrested and faces charges. The release did not say when or where she was arrested.
The release goes on to say if anyone suspects drug or gang activity in their community, they can call the Lakeshore Regional Police complaint line at 1-855-299-0137, or Crimestoppers at 1-800-222- 8477.
