Protect the children, but speech portion of Bill C-63 should be axed

To the Editor:

The C-63 proposed legislation to protect children is again corrupted by over-reaching bureaucrats and politicians.

Every reasonable Canadian Citizen would agree about legislation to protect children.

Only a corrupt bureaucrat or politician would push something odious onto something beautiful.

We want protection for children, not another type of government tyranny regarding free speech. This tyrannical legislation was dropped in 2008 for a reason. There are many current relevant laws regarding speech.

The current proposal is so vague, it will be challenged in court, so the protection for children will be lost.

Modify the proposal by dropping the speech portion and pass the legislation to protect children.
