For the Lakeside Leader
With only two weeks left until the playoffs, the curling teams of Hammertime and Silvertip are tied atop the Men’s League standings.
The top four finishers get an automatic bye into the second round of playoff action. Waiting in the icy weeds is the Ryan Norman-skipped Sheet Disturbers, just one point back.
In what should be an interesting race to the finish, the final week of the regular season will see a possible preview of the league final, with Scott Tradewell’s Hammertime squad facing off against the Doug Albers Silvertip team.
In Monday Night Mixed League action, three teams are still in the hunt for the top two spots and a chance to play for the league title in March. The Scott Iverson-led RIBS, the Norman crew of Fourth End Freestyle and team Mor-Port skipped by Pam Morrison are all within four points of each other with only three weeks left in the regular season.
